The French language gives you opportunities to study at renowned French universities and business schools, ranked among the top institutions in Europe and the world. Moreover, learning French also helps to get PR in French-Speaking countries (Belgium, Canada, Switzerland to name a few).
French is both a working language and an official language in many international organizations like the United Nations, the European Union, UNESCO, NATO, IOC, the International Red Cross, international courts etc.
DELF (Diplôme d'études en langue française) is the official diploma of French language awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. It is conducted to test the French Language proficiency of non-native speakers. This exam is administered by the International Centre for French Studies on behalf of France's Ministry of Education.
DELF Diploma is widely recognized in about 165 countries and valid for a lifetime. The independent certificates for each level correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). CEFR is a guideline produced by the Council of Europe after 12 years of research. Four language skills are assessed at each level: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
TEF (Test d'évaluation du français) is a test of fluency in French for non-native speakers. It is awarded by the CCIP. It is often required to be admitted into universities and is recognized by the Federal government of Canada as a proof of fluency in immigration procedures.
The test is made up of three mandatory and two optional sections. The reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary sections are mandatory and must be taken together, while the writing and speaking sections are optional and can be taken separately.
